On October 28, 2004, the vision for The Kairos Moment Wedding & Event Planners, LLC was revealed to the world. After years of coordinating weddings at her local church and endeavoring to be a blessing to all those who needed assistance planning their big day, Bernadette realized that this was God’s appointed time, and walked into her season of entrepreneurial bliss. A graduate of New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and a Certificate in Sports, Entertainment and Special Events Marketing, Bernadette has been involved in the wedding/event planning industry for over 28 years. She received training in 2004 from the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants (ACPWC). In addition to her bridal industry experience she has had the opportunity to put together several tradeshows in Las Vegas, Nevada, Miami Beach, Florida and Houston, Texas for a private New York real estate company, and has been responsible for developing marketing strategies and coordinating high profile symposiums for one of the world’s leading law firms. No matter what secular job she held, Bernadette was always called on to utilize her organizational skills, so it came as no surprise to friends and family that she would one day have a business of her own doing what she loved.
Bernadette also has expertise in coordinating spiritual retreats, conferences, and fundraisers. She has advised non-profit organizations and has held numerous workshops on wedding/event planning. Bernadette's attention to detail and organizational skills are not only reflected in her wedding planning, but also as an officiant. She received her Masters of Divinity from New York Theological Seminary in May 2002 and was ordained an Elder at the Refuge Apostolic Church of Christ in January 2003 where she has been a member for over 33 years.
